鹿児島 湯川内温泉 かじか荘
かじか蛙の声が美しく響く山間にある秘湯。
一昨年閉業、更に去年は台風で壊滅的な被害を受けながらも、純温泉協会さんの呼びかけにより全国から集まったボランティアの方々の尽力によりもうすぐ復活を遂げる。
アルカリ単純泉、3本ある源泉は36〜39度の心地よいぬる湯、ふわりと硫黄の香りがし、足元自噴の立ち昇る泡とぽこぽこという心地よい音、ぬるぬるふわふわとした湯触りに青みがかった美しい色。
石鹸類なども置かれておらず余計な香りや情報も無い、ひたすらにそこにある湯とただただ向き合う素朴な空間。
上の湯と下の湯があり、今回は上の湯をお送りします。
2025年4月前後再開を目標に今も復旧にあたっておられます。

Yukawauchi Onsen – Kajika-so, Kagoshima
A hidden onsen nestled in the mountains, where the gentle calls of kajika frogs echo beautifully.
Despite closing down two years ago and suffering devastating typhoon damage last year, this onsen is now on the verge of revival—thanks to the dedicated efforts of volunteers from all over Japan, mobilized by the Real Onsen Association.
The alkaline simple hot spring flows from three natural sources, ranging from 36–39°C, creating a soothing lukewarm bath. The water has a soft sulfur scent, naturally bubbling up from the ground, filling the air with gentle popping sounds. With its silky, fluffy texture and a stunning bluish hue, this onsen is a pure and unspoiled retreat.
There are no soaps or artificial fragrances—just the onsen itself, allowing you to immerse in the natural beauty of the hot spring without distractions.
This time, I’ll be sharing Kami-no-Yu (Upper Bath) with you!
The team is working tirelessly toward reopening around April 2025.
