今回は、新潟県津南町で200年以上続く秘湯温泉へ。
日本有数の豪雪地帯である津南町の、さらに山奥に佇む江戸時代末期創業の歴史ある温泉旅館です。
創業当時から絶えず湧き出る源泉かけ流しの洞窟風呂「めいそうの湯」。
岩の隙間から自噴する透明度の高いやわらかなお湯で、とても気持ちよかったです。
この秘境で、現在は4代目の息子さんが宿を切り盛りしており、そのまっすぐな姿勢に思わず応援したくなります。
今後は別の方に受け継がれていくとのことですが、どのような形に変わっても、この素晴らしい温泉がこれからも長く続いていってほしいと願います。
